Condensate Management

Compressed air is discharged at elevated temperatures in a saturated condition. Any cooling which takes place through after-coolers, dryers, or pipelines cause the water vapor to condense into a liquid form, which then mixes with any oil carryover of a machine. This contaminated condensate cannot be disposed of into sewer systems, or onto the ground, without being properly treated.

The CSP EnviroChamp2 Series oil/water separator is designed for 90°F at 90% RH summertime conditions and can separate oil/discharge water to levels of 15 ppm. Using the most advanced technology for reducing the volume of compressed air condensate destined for disposal, this separator offers greater reliability, longer filter life and cleaner discharge water quality than ever before.

CHWS Series

Champion Pneumatic CHWS Series
Oil Water Separators
The CHWS range of oil-water separators is made of three models that cover 50, 100 and 250 cfm. All three models are simple to install, require a minimal amount of space and provide < 10 ppm condensate carryover.
CHWS-50 & 100
The two smaller CHWS units feature spin on / spin off cartridges that allow for easy and clean maintenance. The cartridges are filled with an enhanced alumina silicate substrate media bed that prolongs the life of the unit. When the unit requires maintenance, simply spin on a new cartridge.
CHWS-250
The largest unit, the CHWS-250, uses a different strategy to accomplish the same goal of removing lubricant particles from condensate. Instead of replaceable cartridges, the CHWS-250 features a “use up and replace” design. When the molecular sieve utilized in the active filtration process is spent, replace it with a new unit.

Pneumatic/Mechanical Drains

CDV1 Series

Champion Pneumatic CDV1 Series
The CDV1 Series is a zero air loss, pneumatic, mechanical drain that is designed to automatically remove liquid, oil, and water contaminants from compressed air system components. The efficient bowl size and large quiet zone ensures that no re-entrainment of liquid accumulates back into the air stream. This metal bowl is also compatible with all compressor lubricants and systems up to 200 psig.

Champion Pneumatic CDV2 Series
Champion’s CDV2 Series electric timed drain is effective over a wide range of applications because its dual timer allows the user to accurately set the correct drain cycle. Its compact size and light weight allow the timer to be installed directly on drain points on filters, separators, dryers, droplets, and air compressor receivers. The sealed high impact timer enclosure provides weather tight protection.

CDV4 Series

Champion Pneumatic CDV4 Series
The CDV4 Series motorized ball valve is designed for heavy duty applications with high pressure capabilities up to 600 psig. The CDV4 Series has microprocessor based electronics with 10 programmable settings. The weatherproof enclosure allows for indoor/outdoor operation and the battery back-up for when there is a power failure.
