Pneumatic Fieldbus – H Series

Parker - Pneumatic Fieldbus - H Series
H Series fieldbus uses H Series Micro and H Series ISO valve series. Preferred connectivity is available with Rockwell CompactLogix and ControlLogix plc’s. This means that the H Seriesnet module part numbers are listed in the Rockwell RSLogix 5000 plc software and simplifies the set-up process. Available protocols are DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP, Profibus-DP, and ControlNet. I/O options are digital and analog. With H Series ISO valves it is possible to control up to 32 Solenoids. H Series Micro bus expansion allows an additional 32 solenoids per expansion, 3 expansions maximum. There is a one meter fixed cable length per expansion. Maximum of 256 inputs and 256 outputs can be directly connected to a communication module. Optional modules that can be mounted between the communication module and the valve driver module are I/O Modules, and power extender modules. Maximum solenoids per manifold are 32 solenoids for ISO HA/HB and H Series Micro, and 24 solenoids for H1, H2, and H3.

Pneumatic Fieldbus – Turck Series

Turck fieldbus is used with valve H series Micro and H series ISO. Turck fieldbus can be used easily with many plc’s. Available protocols are DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP, Profibus-DP, Profinet, Modbus/TCP, and CANopen. I/O options are digital and analog I/O, 16 / 32 solenoid control, short circuit protection on inputs, current sensing outputs. Subnet options are CANopen and DeviceNet. Programmable communication modules are available for small machine control. Up to 32 solenoids on main valve manifold and Devicenet subnet allows an additional 32 solenoids per node, 63 nodes maximum. CANopen expansion allows an additional 64 solenoids per expansion, 5 expansions maximum. 256 maximum inputs and outputs can be directly connected to each communication module. Devicenet Subnet allows an additional 256 I/O per node, 63 nodes maximum, and third party DeviceNet modules can also be used. SXG and diagnostic electronic modules have each point isolated and all other electronic modules are isolated from the backplane.

Network Connectivity – P2H IO-Link Network Node

The P2H IO-Link Node is a 24 output module, available in both Class A with an independent auxiliary power supply or a Class B version with power and communication over a single 5 pin M12 cable. The value of the P2H IO-Link is as a compact yet robust network connection with easy integration and simple to use diagnostics to offer IO-Link connectivity to the H Series valve.

Features/Benefits:

  • The P2H IO-Link Node allows Class A or Class B connectivity to an IO-Link master and has local diagnostics available with four LED outputs for communication, power, module diagnostics and output status.
  • Class A – has one M12 connector for communication and logic power from the Class A IO-Link Master, and two 7/8” connectors for auxiliary power IN and OUT which allows for a daisy chain auxiliary power opportunity. The 7/8 power capability is an industry first for an IO-Link valve device.
  • Class B – has one connection to any Class B IO-Link Master using one M12 connector for the communication, logic power and auxiliary power for the valve solenoids.
  • Safe Power Capable – Both Class A & Class B Nodes are “Safe Power Capable” which allows for test pulse (OSSD) compatibility and can be supplied auxiliary power from a safe output device following machinery directives.

The P2H Industrial Ethernet node is a control unit capable of controlling up to 32 digital outputs (pilot solenoids), through the most popular Industrial Ethernet protocols. The P2H Ethernet node is a a low-cost network connection with easy integration and simple-to-use diagnostics all housed in a robust IP65 weld-resistant housing.

The product is designed to reduce the overall connection cost of the equipment, help eliminate the risk of missed connection, while also reducing setup time and increasing operability for ease of integration within existing topology.

  • Suitable for use with EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, EtherCAT, Ethernet Powerlink, Modbus TCP network protocols
  • Safe Power Capable –The P2H Ethernet node is “Safe Power Capable” which allows for test pulse (OSSD) compatibility and can be supplied with auxiliary power from a safe output device following machinery directives.
  • Easy Integration – The P2H Ethernet node offers an embedded webpage for monitoring and configuration purposes. The device is easy to configure, uses rotary switches for IP address selection, and requires no dedicated tools.
  • Power Zoning –The P2H Ethernet node offers power zoning for the last 8 addresses (24-32). The first 24 addresses draw power from the auxiliary power pins. The last 8 addresses can be ordered to draw power from auxiliary power or logic power, allowing power zoning in sensitive applications.
  • Diagnostics – The P2H Ethernet node provides local diagnostic data via LEDs and remotely via the Ethernet network. Diagnostics such as voltage monitoring, temperature warnings, solenoid short circuit and communication error simplify diagnostics and support predictive maintenance.
  • Connectivity – The P2H Ethernet node can connect to Parker’s H Universal manifold giving the user easy access to all 5 sizes of H ISO valves (15407-2 & 5599-2). Additionally, the P2H Ethernet node allows Power IN and Power OUT connection in 7/8” 4-pin or 5-pin, and M12 L-Coded connection.

Moduflex fieldbus is used with valve H series ISO, H series Micro, and Moduflex. Moduflex fieldbus can be easily used with many plc’s. The available protocols available with Moduflex fieldbus are DeviceNet, Profibus-DP, AS-i, CANopen, and Interbus-S. Up to 16 Solenoids can be controlled via Moduflex fieldbus. Modulfex AS-i modules are available with up to 8 inputs and 8 solenoid outputs.

The P2M IO-Link node is a 24 output module, available in both Class A with Independent auxiliarypower supply or a Class B version.

The PCH Network Portal was engineered with configurable I/O with true PNP / NPN circuitry switching and IO-Link master capability on each port for easy machine design changes. The PCH Network Portal is designed for general pneumatic control of industrial machinery on an Ethernet network for all types of automated industrial equipment.
