Shock Absorbers

Parker shock absorbers can help increase production, extend machine life and reduce energy costs. They are available in two different types, non-adjustable and self compensating. They assist in bringing a moving load to rest, quickly and safely, without rebound or backward movement. Shock absorbers convert the kinetic energy generated by the deceleration of the load into thermal energy. Optimum operating conditions are achieved if the energy is dissipated almost uniformly. Self compensating shock absorbers decelerate movement smoothly while requiring no adjustment. These versatile performers offer wide effective weight ranges for handling a wider range of applications and increased velocities.

The Dyna-Softer AS-06 series is a shock absorber that can process up to 353J of absorbed energy. Since it is a variable orifice type, it can be easily adjusted according to changes in collision load energy by operating the adjustment dial. There are 2 types of strokes, and the mounting style can be selected from front flange, rear flange, and clevis type.
