ASC/ASV Series Pneumatically Operated Economical Air Saver Unit

Parker-Air Saver Unit
Installation of the Air Saver Unit is simple and reduction in air consumption can be realised immediately. When using an electrically operated solenoid valve to control the air blow, an Air Saver Unit can quickly and easily be retrofitted provided an immediate reduction in air consumption with no changes to the PLC programme. When using manual valves such as ball valves, ASV200, ASV500 and ASV2000 do not need any electrical power. Simply installing the unit brings immediate reduction in air consumption and improved efficiency. The pulsing air technology in the Air Saver Unit reduces consumption by converting continuous air blow into a pulsed air blow without the need for any other external control. Air is blown in a series of ON and OFF pulses, when the blow is OFF there is no air consumption.

Pneumatic Solenoid Valve – Viking Lite Series

Parker-Solenoid Valve
The Viking Lite valve is a robust, versatile inline valve with compact installation dimensions that is well suited for general industrial applications. The valve can be installed as a single valve for point-of-use applications or mounted on aluminum bar manifolds for centralized applications. Functional options include solenoid air piloted 24vdc and 120vac valves. Limited options makes this valve an easy valve to specify. The bi-directional wear compensated spool performs well in temperature ranges from 14F to 122F and pressure ranges from 22 to 145 PSG. When in service, radial expansion of the spool seal occurs to maintain sealing contact with the valve bore. This sealing method reduces friction and produces a lower required minimum pilot pressure. As the seal wears, it maintains surface contact with the internal bore, which reduces valve leakage in high cyclic applications and extends valve life.

Pneumatic Solenoid Valve – Moduflex Series

Parker - Pneumatic Solenoid Valve - Moduflex Series
The Moduflex series valve is an internal/external air piloted stacking style valve. The Moduflex valves are stacking style only.

Available valve functions are:

  • 4/2, single and double solenoid / single and double air pilot
  • 3/2, single solenoid, NC w/ exhaust check
  • Dual, 3/2, double solenoid, NC/NC, NO/NO, NC/NO, w/ exhaust check
  • Dual, 3/2, NC/NC

There are three mounting configurations available – S series (Stand alone), T series (Manifold w/ individual cable per solenoid), and V series (Manifold w/ backplane circuit board for collective wiring). The V series has head module options – 20 and 25 pin Dsub connections, and fieldbus options Devicenet, Profibus DP, CANopen, Interbus-S, and ASi. The Moduflex valve manifold can be field converted from internal to external pilot supply by removing the cover on the left hand end plate and rotating the “X” channel selector 180 degrees so the 4mm tube connection can be used for external pilot supply pressure. The cover can then be reinstalled. Internal pilot operation means that supply pressure on the #1 port is directed to the end of the valve where the solenoid operator, when actuated, allows the supply pressure to pass which is then applied to the piston to shift the spool. External pilot is when the valve gets its “internal” pressure from an “external pilot port” instead of the #1 port. Moduflex fieldbus head modules can also be used with Isys Iso and Isys Micro valve manifolds.

Pneumatic Solenoid Valve – H Micro Series

Parker - Pneumatic Solenoid Valve - H Micro Series
The H Micro series valve is an internal/external air piloted subbase style valve. The H Micro valves are plugin only and are mounted on a manifold base which holds 4 valve modules. Available valve functions are:

  • 4/2, single and double solenoid
  • 4/3, all ports blocked in the center position, double solenoid
  • Dual 3/2, NC/NC, NO/NO, and NO/NC double solenoid

The manifold bases hold four valve modules, and contain circuit boards, for collective wiring, that can be either single address (for single solenoid valves), or double address (for double solenoid valves). The manifold bases have either side or bottom M7 ports. Several sizes of tube fittings can be installed in the M7 ports. The collective wiring options are:

  • 25 pin Dsub
  • Moduflex fieldbus (Devicenet, Profibus DP, CANopen, Interbus-S, and ASi)
  • Turck (CANopen, DeviceNet, Profibus DP, Ethernet I/P, Modbus TCP, and Profinet)
  • Isysnet (Ethernet I/P, DeviceNet, ControlNet, and Profibus DP)

The H Micro valve manifold can be field converted from internal to external pilot supply by moving the M7 plug located on the right hand end plate to the appropriate port. Internal pilot operation means the supply pressure on the #1 port is directed to the end of the valve where the solenoid operator, when actuated, allows the supply pressure to pass, which then is applied to the piston to shift the spool. External pilot is when the valve gets its “internal” pressure from an “external pilot port” instead of the #1 port. These valves can be used with Isysnet, Turcknet, or Moduflex fieldbus.

Internal pilot operation means the supply pressure on the #1 port is directed to the end of the valve where the solenoid operator, when actuated, allows the supply pressure to pass, which is then applied to the piston to shift the spool. External pilot is when the valve gets its “internal” pressure from an “external pilot port” instead of the #1 port. The ISOMAX valves use a ceramic seat for low friction, fast response, and resistance to contamination.

Pneumatic Solenoid ISO Valve – DX ISOMAX 15407-1 Series

Parker - Pneumatic Solenoid ISO Valve - DX ISOMAX 15407-1 Series
The DX ISOMAX 15407 series valve is an internal/external air piloted subbase style valve. The ISOMAX size 01 and 02 valves are non-plugin only and can be mounted on a stand alone subbase or a multiple valve manifold. 1/8″ or 1/4″ NPT/BSPP ports are available. Available valve functions are:

  • 5/2, single solenoid, spring or air return
  • 5/2, double solenoid
  • 5/3 position, double solenoid, all ports blocked or center exhaust

Each coil is wired individually with a 15 mm 3 pin DIN connector. The DX ISOMAX series valves can be field converted from internal to external pilot supply by moving the gaskets located under the solenoid operators.
