Configure the Motion You Need Without Overcomplicating Machine Design
Stepping Actuators provide unidirectional rotation in steps, like indexing actuators, but without the hard stops. These actuators also prevent backward rotation but incurr in accumulating error. Use these actuator whenever you need torque to be applied throughout a desired angle or a specific amount of stroke but do not mind if your load coasts to a stop if no external force acts on it. Unlike competitive products with add-on clutch housings, Rotomation stepping actuators have a fully integrated clutch-bearing assembly for solid support of your load. Our stepping actuators feature black-anodized aluminum bodies, precision-ground carbon steel shafts, ball bearings, and stainless steel.
Common Options: various shafts types, two rotation directions, bumpers, integrated flow control or cushion valve, magnetic switches for actuator state feedback, high-temperature and/or oil-service seals, mount plates, and various port locations.

Single Rack Stepping Actuators
Tie rod construction offers maximum configurability and durability, and are fully rebuildable. Single rack actuators are designed for general applications where reliability and durability are important.
Dual Rack Stepping Actuators
Dual rack actuators have the same features and benefits of their single rack counterparts, with the additional advantage of double the torque output for any given input pressure, without increasing the footprint of the actuator.
