From the Original Pancake® that set the standard for quality compact cylinders to Pancake II, LONGSTROKE™, square, twin-bore and ISO-type styles, you’ll find the actuator you need with the quality you demand.
Quality is built into these actuators with materials such as anodized aluminum for the bodies, stainless steel for piston rods and a special non-magnetic composite so bushings stand up to harsh conditions. Many cylinders also come pre-lubricated with Magnalube-G® Teflon™-impregnated grease for a long operating life. FJS Series – Metric Interchange Cylinders
FJS Series air cylinders function as drop-replacements for the discontinued Global Series.™ Units deliver short strokes in a compact design — similar to Original Pancake® cylinders — but are designed to meet international requirements. Interchangeable with other metric-based pneumatic designs in bore sizes ranging from 12 to 100 millimeters, and stroke lengths ranging from 5 to 100 millimeters.

Original Pancake – Compact Air Cylinder
Pancake cylinders offer novel features and durable construction to ensure greater reliability. Cylinder body and the bores are machined from high-quality solid bar stock at the same time for good bore concentricity, perpendicularity, high strength and rigidity, and the rod-bushing’s non-metallic high performance composite gives it exceptional load-bearing capability. The composite even polishes the 303 stainless steel shaft for a better shaft life. The hard chrome-plated stainless piston rod extends the lifetime of the cylinder.

NFPA & OEM-NFPA FCQN – NFPA-Standard Actuators
NFPA-interchangeable cylinders combine durable construction and a host of features, and these versatile cylinders come in a variety of styles. Available with bore sizes from 1 ½ to 6 inches and standard strokes to 99 inches, cylinder types include all stainless steel, tandem, three-position and back-to-back models. The series’ cylinder tube is built with a high-strength aluminum alloy, and its 60 Rc inner diameter hard-anodized coating actually impregnates the base aluminum. The cylinders also come with oversized bearings, including a nonmetallic composite rod bearing that can handle high loads and also resist wear. A solid yet lightweight aluminum alloy piston includes a wide graphite-filled Teflon® wear band to support maximum loading, and the steel tie rods deliver effective holding power.

FAQ2R Series – ISO 6431 Actuators

FAE Series – ISO 6432 Actuators
FAE Series single and double rod cylinders are built to ISO 6432 dimensions. The family is available with bore diameters of 12 to 40 millimeters, and maximum strokes are as high as 1,000 millimeters for single rod and 500 millimeters for double rod units. Designed for long life, cylinders with bore diameters up to 25 millimeters are made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, and larger-bore units offer anodized aluminum construction. FGYB & FGYR Series – Magnetically Coupled Rodless Actuators
When the application calls for a pneumatic cylinder inside a space-constrained area, our FGYB and FGYR Series of rodless cylinders can be an ideal choice. These cylinders are designed so there’s no piston rod protruding from the unit. Instead the external slider is magnetically coupled to the piston, providing good output motion while saving space. The FGYB Series is designed for basic mounting, and Series FGYR allows through-hole and tapped mounting and magnetic position sensing. Both styles include a tapped hole pattern on two adjacent sides of the slider.

FGM Series – Guided Motion Actuators
FGM Series guided motion cylinders offer an extended power range and effective load carrying capability. These compact units feature a twin guide shaft design to ensure precise, non-rotating positioning. Customers can choose between the FGMM for ball bearings, and the FGML sintered bronze sleeve bearing. FJU multi-mount cylinders are designed to provide mounting flexibility and convenience. These small, lightweight units save space, while their rectangular design creates mounting surfaces on the rod end, cap end, sides and bottom. ST & Global Series – Stopper Cylinders
Available in bore sizes from 32 to 50 millimeters, the ST Series comes in a variety of styles to address different requirements: round rod, non-rotating rod, rollers that adjust direction according to application needs, and four lever types. The stoppers feature a magnetic piston as standard, Buna-N bumpers at both ends to ensure a gentle stop and rugged aluminum extrusion construction. Options include shock absorbers for safety stops and magnetic sensors that mount easily to the cylinder when input signals are required for controllers. The stoppers operate at 145 psi (maximum) compressed air over a wide operating temperature.

Multi-Power Air Presses – Multi-Piston High Force Actuators
These air presses combine the Multi-Power force-multiplying principle with a precision framework to deliver extraordinary thrust forces, power factor and accuracy for both production and laboratory uses. Each unit comes with a Multi-Power cylinder that uses multiple pistons attached to a single shaft. This creates a larger collective surface area for air pressure to act on as the pistons are energized simultaneously via special internal air passages, multiplying the extend thrust. HHD Series – Hydraulic Heavy Duty Cylinders
Series HHD hydraulic actuators are suitable for applications requiring extra output power and durability to stand up to harsh conditions. They provide up to 3,000 psi of continuous force, making them ideal in high-pressure systems. And they’re also built to last. The cylinder barrel’s heavy wall is honed to an 8 to 16 µ finish to ensure piston bearing life, while the extra long rod cartridge is made of high-strength bronze to deliver exceptional bearing support and wear resistance. The cast iron pistons are designed to provide maximum strength and protection against shock loads, and the piston rods offer 100,000 psi yield strength in the ⅝ through 4 ½ inch diameters and up to 75,000 psi for larger-diameter models. The steel tie rods feature 100,000 to 125,000 psi yield strength.

Air-Oil Systems – High-Force Actuators
When your system requires hydraulic-type motion control, Air-Oil Tanks provide high precision, smooth speed and excellent rigidity when used with off-the shelf air valves and shop air. Air-Oil Tanks don’t require motors, pumps, relief valves and other components, so they’re cost effective and save space. Fabco-Air offers two types of Air-Oil Tanks: Single-tank units for when hydraulic control of the cylinder is required in one direction, and double-tank units when bi-directional cylinder control is needed. Single-tank units can also be used as storage tanks in booster systems or for hydraulic shock control. Double-tank units are particularly space-efficient thanks to the one-piece head that holds both tanks in place and also simplifies mounting.
